Quarry Town Stables is a second generation business established in 1961 that caters to a horse and rider's individual needs. Quarry Town Stables believes in a philosophy which emphasizes the "Just Do It" concept. Most People are amazed at their accomplishments on horseback with the proper coaching from our experienced instructors. These accomplishments bring out strengths and confidence that can be used in every day life. Some adults just enjoy the relaxation, entertainment and exercise that horseback riding can give them, helping to relieve the stress of today's life style. It is at these times that professional assistance is required to make your riding go smoothly as you learn without the loss of security.

You will find that most horses at Quarry Town Stables are American Quarter Horses, known for their quiet temperment and versatility. We do however welcome all breeds and have worked with most in the past. We specialize in western (especially Reining & Trail) and hunt seat riding. Training and showing are a large part of our business we're known for. The quality of fininsh in our older show horses as well as the solid basics established in the young horses we start.

Quarry Town Stables is owned and operated by Robert Johnson. It was originally established in 1961 in it's present location by Robert's parents Arthur and Barbara Johnson. Today Robert is recognized as a expert in many facets of the Equine industry.  He has taken students to state , national and international titles. He is a past APHA World Reining Champion & multiple AQHA Congress Champion. He's also finished in NRHA's Top Ten National standings several years & is a USET Bronze Medal winner.

Students may start competing at shows held at Quarry Town Stables and continue  on to state and possibly world competitions. During the years we have brought countless numbers of people, both young and old into the delightful world of horses. Our lessons are set up in advance to accomodate you, Monday through Saturday.  Most lesson students ride on a once a week basis and do so for many years.
